Talamo a Mare

The underwater cellar is an extraordinary experimental project that pushes the boundaries of winemaking innovation to new heights. A total of 9,000 bottles of Talamo IGT have been immersed 35 meters deep in the sea of Talamone, to complete their refinement in a natural and constant environment, where the temperature and pressure are ideal for a unique evolution. The idea was born from an intuition of Marco Bacci, who observed how wines improved while sailing on his boat. This inspired a completely new form of aging, achieved thanks to a demanding work involving a 40-meter pontoon, diving experts and the collaboration with Cressi Sub. The objective of this innovative project is clear and revolutionary: to refine wine while respecting the environment, avoiding any ecological impact and at the same time exploiting the natural movement of the sea to enrich the wine with new nuances, depth and complexity. This approach represents an important step in the world of wine, where passion for innovation and respect for nature merge into an unparalleled sensory experience, which elevates the concept of refinement to a new level.
