Bacci Wines is the most accomplished expression of Tuscan wine. We interpret the region's great appellations—Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, and Morellino di Scansano—with a personal style, offering labels created for an audience that seeks quality, identity, and refinement.
Our estates form a map of terroir excellence: Castello di Bossi, Tenuta di Renieri, and Barbaione in the heart of Chianti Classico; Renieri in Montalcino, the cradle of Brunello; Terre di Talamo overlooking the Maremma coast, in the Morellino di Scansano area. A heritage of 190 hectares of vineyards, cultivated using organic methods and powered by sustainable energy.
The collection covers the entire spectrum of wine production: structured and long-lived reds, fresh and elegant whites, rosés with character, enveloping sweet wines, and even the Metodo Classico from Sangiovese, Barbaione, a synthesis of refinement and complexity.
Beyond Tuscany, our horizons extend to territories of unique charm. In Sicily, the Terre Darrigo estate is located on the slopes of Mount Etna, in the appellation of the same name: the Nerello Mascalese and Carricante vines sink into the black lava soil of Linguaglossa, with a view that rises to the volcano and descends to the sea of Taormina.
In Sardinia, Marco Bacci's new project is based in Barbagia, in Mamojada: one of the very few terroirs immune to phylloxera, where centuries-old Cannonau vines grow. Here, in the heart of a Blue Zone, the longevity of the plants equals that of the people.
Completing the vision is Talamo a Mare, our underwater cellar dedicated to the maturation of red wine: facing the Argentario promontory, at a depth of 35 meters, the stable temperature, naturally soft light, and pressure of 4.5 bar create the ideal conditions for bottle aging with an unmistakable profile.
In 2019, entrepreneur and innovator Serg Bell joined the company as a minority partner, sharing Marco Bacci's vision of a wine that combines excellence, sustainability, and international openness.
Our philosophy is simple and rigorous: organic wines of the highest quality, with full respect for the environment and tradition. We preserve the beauty of our landscapes, maintain excellent standards, and offer enthusiasts an authentic, essential, and memorable tasting experience.
Born in Florence in 1959, Marco Bacci grew up in the fashion business but soon found his true calling in wine. In 1984, he purchased Castello di Bossi: a project that turned from a passion into a home and destiny. The following year, the first Corbaia was born (1985); and in 1998, the decision was made: wine was no longer a hobby, it was his life.
With the acquisition of Renieri in Montalcino, Marco Bacci ushered in a season of excellence: Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010 was ranked among the top three wines in the world; three years later, Brunello 2015 rose to second place. These awards reward a vision based on rigor, terroir, and style.
A lover of nature—between sky and sea— Marco Bacci supports environmental protection projects, contributing to the preservation of the black rhino in Africa. Today, he leads Bacci Wines, assisted by his children, pursuing a clear goal: organic wines of the highest quality, in the name of sustainability and oenological excellence.
