Tenuta Terre Darrigo, recently acquired by Bacci Wines, is located in the municipality of Linguaglossa, at an altitude of 650-700 meters above sea level, in the historic district of D'Arrigo, at the foot of the imposing Etna volcano. This extraordinary position offers a breathtaking view, ranging from the crystalline sea of Taormina on one side, to the majestic peak of the Etna volcano on the other, creating a perfect meeting between the strength of the mountain and the serenity of the sea. The Etna DOC vineyards of the estate are planted on land rich in ancient lava, the result of ancient volcanic eruptions that have forged a unique and unrepeatable soil, particularly suitable for viticulture. The traditional lava stone terraces, built by hand over the centuries, not only give a distinctive appearance to the landscape, but also tell of the deep connection with the history and culture of the Etna area. The predominant variety in the red grape vineyards is Nerello Mascalese, accompanied by a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio, while Carricante, symbol of the Etna territory, represents the variety of white grape cultivated. The combination of these varieties and the singularity of the volcanic soil give life to wines with a unique character, an authentic expression of the territory.
